Bill has in excess of 30 years of public accounting experience. He began his career with Price Waterhouse. In 1976, Bill co-founded a public accounting firm to serve closely held businesses. With Bill as managing partner, the practice grew to 25 professionals by 1985. He then co-founded the firm of Carlson & Company with Gayle M. Smith, changing its name to Carlson & Smith LLP in 2003. Gayle retired and the firm incorporated to become Carlson CPA, Inc.
Bill has extensive experience, including serving as expert witness and as special master. He embraces technology in his practice and identifies with the current trend of a paperless office.
He offers the online tax organizer, the Tax Notebook, for seamless integration with its tax software.
He offers QuickBooks accounting for selected clients and has partnered with Sage Intacct, the #1 cloud accounting software and financial management solution.
